Just one more month before I leave for… Incredible INDIA!
You can follow all my adventures and experiences on this blog and this way I don’t have to inform ánd my mom, ánd my dad, ánd my sis, ánd my bro, ánd the rest of the family, ánd all my friends, but I can do it with just one post. I’m very sorry if you don’t feel special enough!
The first three weeks I’ll be staying in the southern part of India where I’ll be volunteering in the very small town of Yercaud (6 hours south of Bangalore). It’s not entirely clear what sort of work I’m going to do but it has something to do with kids. So I’m very excited!
The next few weeks we’ll be crossing the country by bus, train, plane and I guess many, many rickshaws. There is not a strict route we’re sticking to and we have the Lonely Planet as our travel bible so we can plan our stops. Places that are on the list at the moment are: Pondicherry, Hampi, Allepey, Cochin, Goa, Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Varanasi, Mumbai and Kumily (where you can bathe with an elephant!). I’ll be back home at the end of August which marks the end of the 2009 adventure (and I’m already researching for the 2010 adventure…).
